Can I have two business bank accounts?

I am trying to sort out the dedicated bank account for my gite business in France but there are a few complications that I can’t seem to get around.

  1. 80% of our clients pay in sterling. I can organise a separate account in the UK and France to get around that without too much difficulty. But is it OK to have two accounts dedicated to the business. If we ask customers to pay the extra to change currencies we will lose a lot of them, many pay us by cheque.
  2. Ours is a gite business and most of the big costs are tied in with the house costs, water, electricity, taxe de habitation, taxe fonciere etc., so it is impossible to pay them separately. We are going to be transferring money backwards and forwards to pay bills. Any advice gratefully accepted.
