Auto-entrepreneur scheme for renting house out?

I intend to rent out my house (principal residence) for the peak summer weeks and any others if possible. Should I register under the auto-entrepreneur scheme? At the moment, this will be my primary source of income. Also, can you confirm that it will be a simple payment of 12%? Will there be any other charges / costs that you are aware of? Presumably the Tax Fonciere will be increased?
