My name is Valerie Lemiere, I’m French and work in France as a business adviser for a national organisation called Boutique de Gestion/ BGE. At BGE I help French entrepreneurs with all aspects of starting and running their business.
I run this site to help English speakers with the complexities and hassles of starting and running a small businesses in France. To that end I manage a busy forum where I answer questions, give advice and discuss problems. I also publish news and help articles, videos and podcasts.
There are many English speakers who want to start a business in France or that need help, but because of the woeful lack of information in English and the language barrier, they find it frustrating and can’t find the answers they need - sound familiar? My idea behind this site is simple; to share my experience and knowledge by answering questions and giving advice to English speaking entrepreneurs in France and around the world.
By trade I’m a marketer, I studied in France and the UK where passed my MBA. During my career I’ve worked in both small and international companies (UK and France) in senior marketing positions. Since 2006 I’ve worked as a business advisor for my current employer, personally helping many 100’s of people start their business in France.
