Working as an artist in France?

My husband and I have just moved to France. I would like to now start a business selling the paintings and sculptures which I have again started to create. I had been working in an office prior to our move so I am not currently affiliated to a gallery nor have I sold work recently. I would like to register as an auto-entrepreneur, however, the information I have found on the internet would suggest that an artist is not an approved profession for this regime.

I have found information on the internet generally suggesting that I would need to be affiliated to the Maison des Artistes, however, I can not find clarification of what type of company I would need to set up in order to sell my work, what tax and social contributions would be payable and what social/health body I would be affiliated to? When we are settled, my husband intends to establish a farming business, however in the meantime, can my husband become also affiliated to the healthcare system as my dependent? (which in your video is a possibility with the auto-entrepreneur regime).
