Social security number and Carte Vitale for entrepreneur

Hi Valerie
I registered as a micro-entrepreneur at the beginning of this year, and now need a security number. I don’t know how to proceed. I have spoken to URSAFF and also Security Sociale Independents in Caen; they took my number and said they’d write to me. I haven’t heard anything, and matters are becoming urgent as I need to get health insurance, register with an agency etc etc and for this I need the number. Can you tell me - am I dealing with the right people here? I am British. Thanks!
