Sickness benefits for auto-entrepreneur business?

My husband has just had an operation and will not be fit to work again for at least six weeks. He has an auto-entrepreneur business and we do not know how to go about claiming sickness benefit in France. I also have an auto-entrepreneur business and a couple of years ago, only discovered after six months of not being able to work that I could have claimed.
