Should I register as portage salarial or set up a business in France?

I am planning to move to France later this year and work freelance for my current employer on their clients. I am aware that I can’t be classified as a self-employed person as I will only have one client.

Is portage salarial the only option here or can I set up a French company, I would draw salary and dividends with this option?
What option would pay the least social security?
