Setting up a TEFL business in France?

I am thinking of setting up as an auto-entrepreneur to offer my services either as a tutor to English children and/or teach English as a foreign language (TEFL). I am just about to retire after 36 years as a primary school teacher and need to set up a business in France. Can you advise me about doing this please?

Do I need to wait a few weeks until I am permanently in France or can I start the process now?
