I live in the Riviera and I have come across a number of workers who claim to be legitimate businesses but are not. One person told me she just made up a name and a number for her stationary. Is there a way of checking online whether a business is legal? Entering a Siret number or business name? I just found this but you have to pay http://www.info-societe.com. I wondered if there was a free service?
