Registering a photography business while working with a multinational?

I would like to register my photography business here in France. I have gone through related questions here in the forum as well as your responses. I however, have a carte de séjour temporaire working with a multinational here in France and only want to be doing the photography business on the side. Does my residency status allow such a business registration?
