Pass through money for digital products as an auto-entrepreneur / profession libérale?

I’ve recently been offered a job opportunity in France as an online editor for web content, where I interface between clients and writers. This would be in addition to existing contracts, and I have been an auto-entrepreneur (profession liberal / Activites Specialisees, Scientifique) for the past three plus years. The editorial role falls under the auto-entrepreneur category that I hold.

The tricky part is that where I would be paid approximately 20,000 euros / year by clients for work, most of that work would get done by writers, and my actual income on this job would only amount to a maximum of 8,000 euros. The products are digital, but could be printed out to be tangible products, as I know the auto-entrepreneur scheme doesn’t entirely account for digital products that are not software. The additional income does not push me over the earnings threshold. There are no contracts in place for either me or the writers (who are in the US, Canada, and France).

I’m not sure if I can stay an auto-entrepreneur or if I need to set up a separate business just for these activities, and I am not sure how to set things up tax-wise. URSSAF has not responded to any of my detailed e-mails.

I’d appreciate any direction you may be able to provide.
