Minimum hours of work in business setup in France?

As a auto-entrepreneur wedding photographer business in France, my work is sporadic. I may have two jobs in one month and then no work for two months - do I have to work a certain number of hours each month to keep my business valid / open? Or is there a minimum requirement every six months? As I understand it, I will pay tax quarterly only for the work I have had but I want to check about gaps in work. Does this affect my health care cover in France?
