Micro-enterprise to auto-entrepreneur problems with RSI?

I am in a bit of a mess with RSI and hope that you can advise me what to do. I swapped from being a micro-enterprise to auto-entrepreneur at the beginning on January 2010. Around this time I received a bill from RSI for payments to be made during 2010 in February, May and August for cotisations in 2010. I duly replied and stated that I was now an Auto-Entrpreneur and also attached my auto-entrepreneur notification of acceptance, and explained that I therefore wouldn’t be paying RSI seperately during 2010. During the year I received a reminder to pay and again sent the same letter and attachment.

Then at the end of December 2010 I received a Signification de Contrainte from the Hussier de Justice for the amount for 2010 plus their fees. I appealed against this explaining that I was an auto-entrepreneur and again attaching the proof. I assumed that they would realise a mistake had been made and that would be that. Today I have received a court hearing notification for 19th April, which basically says that if I don’t appear they will rule against me. This is a crazy situation as I have provided proof that I am not liable for the cotisations on numerous occasions.

Have you any advice you can give me as to what I should do now? My French isn’t up to representing myself in court and I really don’t want to go down that road anyway as I have done nothing wrong.
