Mandatory training required for business registration?

I am planning to open a frozen yogurt shop in France and I want to register my company along with a partner. It will be a walk-in shop for pedestrians to buy and consume a frozen yogurt. Initially we tried to register online via the CCI but then got stuck because of certain 2 year diploma requirements which seemed strange.

We then were informed by the Chambres de Metiers that we need to register with them and that we require a couple business courses before we can complete the registration. Is it correct that for this type of business we need to register with the Chambres de Metiers? Are you aware of any mandatory courses that need to be completed before being able to register the company?
