Liable for tax on previous earnings after starting a business in France?

I am a self-employed UK artist and have sold work in exhibitions in France since April this year. I’m now thinking I’d like to live in France and start a business in France as an auto-entrepreneur. As I will soon have spent 6 months (no longer than 3 months at one time) in France this year, if I decide to stay and start a business in France this year, do I become liable for tax on all previous earnings this year, or from date of being in France longer than 3 months? And will the tax regime accept that I am applying to start after having spent 5 months in France overall, and after having already sold work here this year (as UK self employed artist). I would like to make the change this year, but if it is too difficult I could wait until January 2015.
