Is the auto-entrepreneur business option best for a gite rental business in France? Gross turnover will be around 15,000 euros this year which after our 71% abatement will give a taxable income of less than 4,945 euros, less than the figure where we have to pay full social charges. We have our own health care provision and when time comes pensions, so paying French social charges is not needed for us.

I understand that I will only have to pay 15.5% on the net taxable income after the abatement of 71% and have no obligation to register with RSI and just complete an annual tax form at the end of the year. This will save us having to pay 13.5% social and about 2% tax on everything if the auto-entrepreneur option was taken. Is this right or am I missing something please?
