Is a permit required to transport guests in our own vehicles?

We plan to have groups of up to 12 guests staying in our chambre d’hotes rooms and gite, all participating in art and language courses. Do the regulations allow us to transfer the guests from the airport to the property as well as transport them to destinations in the local area? We have a 9 seat van and a 5 seat car. Is a permit required?
