How to declare a rental property as secondary source of income

I have inherited a French property which I would like to rent out over the summer to pay for all the associated bills, it is fully furnished.  It is not my principal residence. I live in France and I am registered as an auto entrepreneur, so it is not my principal activity either. I know I have to inform the mairie first.

  1. Does this therefore entitle me to an abattement of 71% on any tax liability?
  2. Is it sufficient to just enter the revenue on my tax return?
  3. Is this revenue classed as separate to any earnings as an auto entrepreneur therefore keeping me out of the VAT threshold as such?
  4. Is it correct that the first 23,000 euros earned from the property are exempt from cotisations?
  5. Will I have to pay CFE as it is not my principal residence?
  6. I have been asked if I could manage and take day to day responsibility for another property. Would the owner have to receive all the money and then pay me or is there another way ie small company - where I take the revenue deduct costs and pass the rest to the property owner? It seems that this might not be cost effective.
