How should I reopen an existing business in France?
I would be very grateful if you could please provide me some advice as to what I need to do in order to reopen the business that I purchased in France in January 2015. The business in question is a bar, cafe, brasserie called Taverne Du Chateau. I purchased it for cash so therefore I have no bank loans or mortgages associated with the property, which also comes with a two bedroom apartment.
I bought the place as an investment and want to have the business run on my behalf and have asked my best friends daughter and husband to run the place for me on a 60% / 40% basis. They are provided with rent free accommodation with the exception of utility bills.
I have recently been in contact with Credit Agricole who I bank with requesting them to open up a separate business bank account in the name of La Taverne Du Chateau, Apremont for financial / commercial business accounting purposes. I am looking to reopen the business ASAP, however I need your advice on what is required from my side to allow the business to be run on my behalf.
