How long does it take to receive my SIRET number?

It is now three weeks since I submitted my business registration forms in France - but I have not received either an acknowledgement or a système d’identification du répertoire des établissements (SIRET) number. Should I be concerned?
After the shock of last night’s decision in the UK we are wondering how it will impact on running a business here. I imagine that I will need to get a residency card, renew carte vitale and change my driving licence? Any advice you can give will be much appreciated.
