How do I speed up the paper work to start my business in France?
I completed my declaration de debut d’activite on 24/03/16 and received my 12 digit number. Since that time on 13/04/16 I received a SIRET number and nothing else. We went to Chambres de commerce et d’industrie (CCI) in the hope that I could at least start the process for the carte ambulante with photocopies of passport, photos, proof of address, photocopy of page from certificate d’inscription and was told the card would be with me within one week.
One week later however we received a large envelope asking me to fill in afin de dispense d’immatriculation (which seems to be for someone who already has a business) and for my wife to sign a declaration to say she’s happy for me to start this business plus an extrait original d’immatriculation au RCS datant de moins de 3 mois.
As I understand it from your site I should have been contacted by now by the mutualiste I chose, the tax people and everyone else! I gave 08/05/16 as the date to commence activities and I’m still a long way from there. Any suggestions?
