How do I register as auto-entrepreneur handyman online here in France?
Thank you for your reply suggesting we register with Chambre d’Agriculture. However, my partner wants to be an auto-entrepreneur business here in France and register with Chambre de Metiers. Therefore he will restrict his jobs accordingly.
We now understand that as an auto-entrepreneur gardener he can only carryout maintenance jobs such as mowing, strimming, weeding and hedge-cutting - no planting or landscaping. As a handyman he would do jobs such as gutter cleaning and maintenance, repairing garden boundaries, adjusting door hinges, hanging pictures, unblocking sinks - no painting, electrics, plumbing, tiling etc.
On the auto-entrepreneur form I was hoping to be able to put down job titles such as entretien des maisons et jardins, bricoleur, homes toutes main etc. However it isn’t that straightforward. The first page on your demonstration video is not quite the same as the current online form. On the first page declaration de debut d’activite, the first box asks to select the main activity, which would be gardening and then handyman but this can and may change depending on the type of work he gets.
