How do I calculate cotisations paid to RSI?

Can you clarify how to calculate cotisations that go on the RSI (Régime Social des Indépendants) trimestrielle déclaration. I have been using income received between dates, but I notice that the form says that the figure is montant facturé. Am I supposed to be entering the amount invoiced between dates, even if the money hasn’t been received?
