How do I protect my assets when starting a business?

I’m trying to complete my auto-entrepreneur application but I am uncertain about what to do to protect any assets I have. One option may be EIRL, but the advice appears to be that this isn’t a very good option. I plan to run my business without any credit so I do not think I will ever have any liabilities here. I am getting public liability insurance. Is it best if I do a déclaration d’insaisissabilité as well? If I do all this, will I have properly protected any assets that are not directly connected with my business. Is there anything else that you think I should do?
