Do I have to fill in a tax return from Impots?

This is the first year of being fully living in France and having my own business. As naive as it may sound, I didn’t realise that in addition to my end of year auto-entrepreneur forms, that I’ve also got to complete a tax return from Impots.gouv.fr - is this right? I’ve had a search on your site and can’t find any specific help on completing this form, if you do have any guidance for a newbie, I’d appreciate your help. I also persume I’m late with sending this in now - what are the repercussions of that?
