Course fees as a business expense

Quick question - can course fees such as tuition fees for a French course be declared as a business expense.
Potentially a daft question, but I recall online training courses being classed as a business expense in the UK as it’s part of training. So would taking a French course be similar as I’m not French and taking this course would benefit me and my business?
