Contractor with one main client in UK as a business in France?

I am relocating permanently to France in April and will have one main contractor paying me for three days of my time per week. This is a solution based on the UK company not having a business in France, so it looks like it would make sense for me to be self employed in France.

  1. I can’t be an auto-entrepreneur as my income exceeds the turnover level. From your video on this site, I think I need to register as Regime Real. Would this make sense?
  2. Also, the VAT issue with this main client… would I charge a UK company TVA for a contract like this?

My business in France will be graphic design, web design and photography.
