Business setup for a programmer working as a contractor in France?

I’ve just moved to France and I work as a remote programmer for a business in France. I work for them as a contractor, with monthly invoicing. My income is around the 32,000 euros, but is projected to increase over the next few years. My expenses are minimal.

What sort of a business structure should I set up in France and how to I go about registering it?
Are there any requirements like finding an accountant, or can I do this myself?
