Best way to register photography business in France?

I have been honing my craft as a portrait photographer there and would like to start my photography business here in France. I would be working alone and from home. I would be working on location and at clients’ homes for the time being. I want to know how best to register my new business and if I can do business in Switzerland, Geneva specifically, since I am so close to the border? Also I can work with clients while I am in the UK and what impact that would have on me?
