Auto-entrepreneur or SARL for boat hire business?

In the next year or so we plan on starting a boat hire business and are currently purchasing a river boat for our personal use. To get a feel for the industry we were hoping to hire it out whilst we aren’t using it. We have looked into what business structure to utilise and have been told that we can’t setup as an auto-entrepreneur because we are hiring a vehicle out, is this correct?
After reading threads on your site, a SARL with its setup costs of €1500 to €2000 and accountancy fees €2000 / year isn’t worth it for 1 to 2 boats. Our projected turnover would be less than €20k. Can you suggest a structure that may work or where to look? We also don’t want our personal home to be at risk if any went wrong.
